Considering I already own the 376.0822, do you think the Speedmaster Mark 4.5 176.0012 would be a worthy addition to my collection? Is this reference highly regarded in the Vintage Speedmaster community?
Around 1974-75 Omega came out with a newer version under the reference 176.012. this is the model collector’s call the Mark 4.5 as it features elements both from its predecessor (Mark IV) and successor (Mark V).Be sure to check out one the best references for Speedmasters at the late Chuck Maddox’s website:http://www.chronomaddox.com/MarkSeries.html I wouldn’t mind one from each set MKII (racing preferably), III (yes a door knocker), and a MK4.not so hot on the day feature of the 4.5 but wouldn’t kick it out of bed. I love the day/date and think it's an awesome way to get back to a Lemania 5100.
